final digi pack

This is my final album cover I wanted it to be white mainly because it stands out among most of the darker album covers of today. This is the back it was my intention to make the back and front to contrast so that it would go with the title "chaos Rock".

This is the side of my CD.

This is the poster, like the CD its plain white which makes it stand out.

final evaluation

Evaluation: when all is said and done....

1. In what ways does your media project use, develop or challenge conventions?
- My video mainly uses one convention that multiple music videos use of many genres, that is that there is clear visible link between the actions in the video and the lyrics of the song for example the games present in the video are the same as in the song, the console box used is that of a PS3 and the cards held up are either drawings or statement from the video.
-The album covers share similarities to that of rock or parody, an example would be the green monster on the front of one of the album covers, the idea was from looking at motorhead album covers with the warpig on.
- My video challenges some conventions as the main character is almost breaking the 4th wall as he is always singing to the audience like hes trying to warn them about the console.
-My video also challenges conventions as it uses scenes missing as a joke, this is used mainly due to the fact that the theme of the whole song is a joke and not to be taken seriously.

2.How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
-The two products mainly share subtle similarities like pop culture references or parody images, an example of this is the inhuman rampage cover whixh parodies most metal covers. or the back cover i did which looks like it belongs on the cover of a metal album. Counter culture cover has multiple references to pop culture all over it which is the whole point as the song is about a form of nerdish pop culture.

3. What have I learned from my audience feedback?
- I looked at my feedback on Youtube and learned that I should use more that one person or change clothes because at one point the main person in the video is meant to be someon else and all thats changed is the mask.

4. How did you use media technologies in construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?
-My main tool for research was the internet primarly due to the fact it has most of the music videos made and thats how I was able to analyse the videos used, I was also able to find album covers which i analysed on there.
-When planning my video i used moviemaker to cretae an animatiic.
-When making my video i used pinacle studio to create my work and edit it.
-in my evaluation i used blogger to upload it.

Another idea

This idea was based on one of my old scribbles and somewhat resembles the monsters used on old rock album covers.

Album cover mocks

These are album covers which I have designed, the top one is basically a collage of internet fads or an image used in one of my other mocks. The secound is a parody on modern art showing how strange and random the world is. The third is a picture which i used for a poster mock with the backround changed. the last one is just a picture of an explosion I found and thought it looked good as a cover.

food for thought part 2

Looking through youtube ive found more videos that both amuse, intrigue and inspire me everytime i watch them.

This video showed me that parodies or comical videos can be done in differnt formats and not just live action.

This video showed me that with good editing and the right programs even video games can make good MVs.

This video showed me that the mixing the band playing with the story it can look good and still fit the lyrics.

This video showed me that using other forms of editing and software like flash practicly any video can be made for a song.

food for thought

Music videos can be of any thing nowadays these following videos are examples of ones that i have found on youtube from flash to cosplay and even just people messing around for fun.

This MV made me realise that a video doesnt have to make sense or follow a ploso long as it has some link to the song, this videos link is the fact that the dance is the one used by the band.

This is another one that has no plot from what i can tell it is mainly a blooper reel mixed with music it works mainly because no lyrics are used.

This video showed me that there can be may different types of video and that it doesnt have to be live action it can be done using programs like flash.
